If There's Not Dancing at the Revolution I'm Not Coming...is a
wild, poetic collision of film scripts, pop songs, elaborate
costumes, dance and performance art, that challenges the treatment
of women's bodies in popular culture. It uncovers the collective
fantasies underneath female bodies, unapologetically intervening
and exploding them into feminist confetti.
This is a party. This is a poem. This is a tiny call to arms.
The show was created over 2015 in New York City and premiered at
Auckland Basement Theatre in September 2015 to sold out houses. It
has since gone on to sell out a return Auckland season and a
Wellington tour. Now we are packing up our champagne and tulle
vaginas and heading to Edinburgh.
