He was an 80s movie star and Indonesia's answer to Sylvester

Considered 'trash classics' by his small-but-loyal fanbase,

a successful initiative where we can showcase Peter's
incredible story and flex our filmmaking muscles. We would love for

But it's all-or-nothing. If we reach our target of $2,500, then we
unlock our first drawdown of $2,500 (from a total of $5,500) from
Loading Docs. However, if we fall short of this target we won't be
able to make this short documentary.
Help us raise more than our target and we could produce
something truly fantastic: anything from a digital restoration
process for Peter's films to adding retro 80s-tastic VFX and
animation to our story, or maybe even travelling to Indonesia with
Peter to meet some of the characters from his past and hopefully
unearth celluloid prints of his old films!

help us bring Peter's untold story to life.
We greatly appreciate your support!

WE'VE SMASHED ANOTHER STRETCH GOAL!!!
There is only one force greater than RAMBU and that's his fans and supporters! No Eighties action movie could contain such awesomeness! We officially have ACTION GEAR on its way!!
THANKS TO EACH OF YOU, we're now capable of fully equipping Peter O'Brian for his larger-than-life comeback in our documentary and letting him show off his range of talents! It's going to be AWESOME!!
We have only 8 days left of our fundraising campaign and we're gonna put up one final stretch goal shortly that's gonna absolutely give us the perfect finish.
Let's see if we can do it!
GO TEAM RAMBU!!!
SECOND STRETCH GOAL ANNOUNCED!!!
WE'VE GOT ANOTHER STRETCH GOAL!!
GOAL #2: ACTION GEAR!
Our little film isn't just about Peter O'Brian's past achievements, but also about his desire to return to the world of acting and show New Zealand (and the world) how far his thespian chops have come!
And we want to give him that opportunity! So our latest stretch goal is to help us pay for the right set of costumes and props for Peter to bring his new characters to life with!
Maybe he sees himself more as a weathered police detective or a vicious biker villain or a gruff, yet fatherly, army sergeant or something completely unexpected?
We don't know what Peter has in store for us; only that he's gonna use the fact that we're training our cameras on him as his opportunity to show his stuff.
If we can hit $4000 in our Boosted campaign (which is only a couple hundred dollars away!) we can unlock this stretch goal and put together the hella' retired-action-hero's comeback kit!
Please donate if you haven't already and be sure to share our Boosted page on your social media feeds!

FIRST STRETCH GOAL ANNOUNCED!
Hello to all you amazing backers!
We've been blown away by the amount of support our project has recieved and since we've exceeded our 100% funding goal, it's time we put all this surplus cash to good use! So we're announcing our first STRETCH GOAL!
GOAL #1: VHS ARTISTRY!
First up, we’d love to give OPERATION: RAMBU! a huge kick of that special 1980's visual authenticity. To achieve this, we're teaming up with indie, tape-based filmmaker and artist F. Theodore Elliott to help us create that VHS-era look.
If we can hit the $3500 mark on our Boosted campaign (over $1000 above and beyond our original amount!) then Theo will be able to generate a variety of lo-fi, analogue-signal-based graphics and transitions and shoot B-roll for our documentary using authentic vintage video gear.
Remember those beautiful glitches and tracking marks on your old tapes when you stuck them in your VCR? With your help, we are going to make those memories part of our story-telling experience!
We're only a few hundred dollars away from hitting $3500 and making this a reality!
PLEASE KEEP SHARING OUR CAMPAIGN TO ANYONE WHO MAY BE INTERESTED AND HELP SPREAD RAMBU-FEVER TO THE WORLD!!

You amazing people have helped us hit our minimum fund-raising target in just over 48 hours! You are all utterly incredible and OPERATION RAMBU! is officially green-lit!!!!
But that doesn't mean our fundraising is over!
$2500 is the bare minimum we needed to ensure we could get our production started, but we still need your support to help ensure that this story is going to be told the best way possible.
If you were planning on sharing our campaign or video with your friends, please do so now! Their extra contributions will make a HUGE difference in OPERATION: RAMBU's production value, content and sheer entertainment factor!
We've got 20 days left, more stretch goals to come and WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP.
PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH EVERYONE AND CONTINUE TO DONATE IF YOU CAN!
