Circa Theatre would like to continue our aim to make our theatre accessible for everyone by offering a New Zealand Sign Language interpreted performance of the return hit comedy Kings of the Gym. This will be the second time Circa has offered an NZSL interpreted performance, after presenting one during the production of Tribes earlier in 2013.

Circa would like to provide NZSL interpretation of the performance of Kings of the Gym on Friday, 14 February. The cost of hiring the interpreters (two will be required for the performance) is too great for Circa's limited budget. We will therefore need to raise the $2200 required to make this performance happen.

It is so important to give everyone the chance to enjoy live theatre.

A great start to theatre-going in 2014!

From the team who brought you the smash hit The Motor Camp, playwright Dave Armstrong and director Danny Mulheron once again combine talents to present another delightfully romantic and wickedly entertaining season of their 2013 hit,Kings of the Gym!

Starring the original cast: Ginette McDonald, Paul McLaughlin, Richard Dey and Acushla-Tara Sutton.

A comedy in two halves, Kings of the Gym looks at the really important things in life: competition, compassion, Creation … and PE teaching.

  • We've made it!!

Thank you to everyone who has supposrted this project - we are so happy to say that we've reached our goal and will be able to hold the NZSL interpreted performance of Kings of the Gym on 14 February.

We would like to offer our particular gratitude to the J.R. McKenzie Trust Deaf Development Fund for their generous support, without which we wouldn't be able to offer these accessible performances.
