The Wellington members of Exit International, an end-of-life choice organisation, meet several times a year and, over cups of tea and pot-luck snacks, discuss the latest developments in the world of voluntary euthanasia.

Killer App is a Loading Docs documentary that will go behind the contemporary debate - should voluntary euthanasia be legal? - and show how the lively, independent-minded people of Exit are responding to the current legal situation.

Groups such as Exit exist the world over in countries where euthanasia is illegal. For people who are terminally ill, or suffer from a degenerative illness, or are just getting older and want the reassurance of knowing that they have some control over how and when they die, the group provides sanctuary and community; it is a place where information is exchanged freely without judgement. Exit members give each other much-needed emotional support and laughter in a uniquely social environment while sharing their own 'exit plans'.

The Loading Docs' theme for 2015 is connection and we will see members' connections with each other and, by extension, all of us: How would we feel in their situation, and what are our hopes and fears around our own mortality?

    Dear friends and supporters

Our film is now complete and can be viewed online here: http://loadingdocs.net/gina/

along with the other great short films made under the Loading Docs banner.

The change in title (from Killer App) came about through further development of our ideas - three minutes is also such a short amount of time we found that this mandated a change in approach, but one which we think has paid off.

We hope that you enjoy our film and share it widely. Thanks once again for your support!

    Best regards

We really do appreciate your support of our project.

Such an interesting time at the moment in the world of VE too. A moving personal account from Canada in today's Herald:

    www.nzherald.co.nz/lifestyle/news/article.cfm?c_id=6&objectid=11413844&ref=NZH_FBpage

And Dr Rob Jonquiere from the Netherlands is in New Zealand at the moment doing a series of presentations up and down the country on the Dutch experience of euthanasia. Very interesting.

Again, thank you so much for your support. And please do pass this page onto friends and interested contacts to help us reach our goal for production!
