Faultline Chorus is a 60 member strong, women's a cappella chorus based in Petone, Wellington. We love singing, winning and giving! We sing everything from classic barbershop to Bruno Mars - we're performers with loads of energy and showmanship!

We also love to share our music - when we're not busy rehearsing, you can often find us performing in our local communities, sharing a song with others.  We give our time to our singing sisters, supporting each other not just on our musical journey but in our everyday lives.

We're affiliated with Sweet Adelines International which is an independent, non-profit, music education association and the world's largest singing organisation for women. Sweet Adelines was established in 1945 and is committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education, competition and performance.

Each year, more than 8,000 women from all over the world attend Sweet Adelines International Convention & Competition to witness the best choruses and quartets compete for the coveted winners' medals.

We're a competitive bunch and in 2017 we did so well at our national contest that we were invited to represent New Zealand at Sweet Adelines International competition in St Louis, Missouri in 2018. We'll be competing against the very best choruses from around the world! Leading our journey to the international competition is our talented and inspirational musical director, Carolyn Currington. She is supported by skilled and dedicated music and management teams.

Getting to international competition takes considerable time, money and planning.  40 members will be travelling to St Louis and the chorus is busy fundraising, with multiple initiatives underway, to help us get us there.  This is over and above the thousands of dollars we need to fundraise every year just to cover everyday chorus costs.

We need some help to put our best foot forward in representing our local community and New Zealand.

Some of the costs we have to cover include:

- Coaching (international coaches have the most experience and get the best results, they're also the most expensive!)

- Competition fees

- Costumes

- Music costs

- International rehearsal venues

- Hiring risers

- Equipment (recording equipment, pitch pipes, etc)

Can you help us share a bit of our kiwi magic in America?  Any amount would be much appreciated!
