I'm Courtney Allison. I'm an 18-year-old, Christchurch based singer/songwriter, ready to release my debut EP. These are five songs I wrote in a period of time where I moved out of my parents' house, moved cities, lost my grandmother, started a new school and met my partner of now over a year. They're about the push and pull of life, the way time keeps pushing us forward and shapes us, over and over again.

We are constantly taking on new forms, and these songs represent who I've been over the last couple of years.

Hi, it's nice to meet you.

Unfortunately, as fun and poetic as songs are to write, they're not cheap to bring to life. My partner and I are currently doing our time as broke students, which, though it is great fun, doesn't leave enough spare change lying around to record an acoustic EP, let alone when there's a whole band involved. The proceeds from this campaign will cover recording, photography, and rigorous promotions, to ensure these songs get as far as they can.

My band consists of myself on guitar and vocals, my partner on drums, his little brother on bass, and my manager's friend on lead guitar. It's a real family affair. We have such a great time in our little practice room crafting our sound, and we can't wait to share it with you. Throughout the course of this campaign, I'll be sharing lots of behind the scenes content. It's going to take your help to bring this into existence, and so I want you all to see where your money is going.

If you yourself cannot donate, please consider sharing my campaign on Facebook or Twitter, or maybe giving it a shout out on Snapchat or Instagram. Shares are just as valuable as a donation and increase our chances of hitting the target.

If you have any questions about my plan for the EP or what I'll be doing with the proceeds from this campaign, please let me know. You can reach me via Facebook or

I'm excited to see where this campaign will take me, and to see who will be coming along for the ride. My younger self never believed we'd even get this far, let's show her how much further we can take this.

We have just under three weeks left in this campaign everyone!

We haven't gotten off to the best of starts, but there's still time to make it work. Don't forget to tell your friends if you've donated and please take a second to share the link to your social media, that in itself is an enormous help.

  • Band Practice 6/08/19

A blocked nose led to some seriously lack-luster vocals, but that never stopped my band from being awesome!
