I'm a self-employed musician (singer, composer, teacher) who has
been contributing to the NZ music scene for 30+ years…
I've been privileged to be a member of the internationally
renowned Voices NZ Chamber Choir ('Voices') since 1999. We have
given concerts throughout NZ and in Singapore, Germany, Argentina
and Australia. Most recently, we joined with fabulous UK sextet,
The King's Singers in the NZ Festival and Auckland Arts
In November 2018, Voices will tour to Europe, to present
exciting concerts (of mostly NZ music) in the UK, Germany, France
and Spain… As you can imagine, the costs for this project
are large, so each singer is required to cover their own airfares
and other travel.
I'd love it if you could help me get there!
This is a great opportunity for me, and for the choir,
to showcase NZ music and musicians in Europe, and the
music we're performing is very special, based around themes of
human nature and the natural world, stories of love, and human
struggle and hope in the face of war and calamity. The concert
we'll do in Le Quesnoy (France) holds particular significance, as
we'll be singing on the exact 100th anniversary of the NZ troops
liberating the town in WW1, which will be very moving for all
I'll look forward to updating you with more about that, and other
aspects of the tour as it progresses.
I'm honoured to be representing my country overseas, and
invite you to be part of this project, sharing in this
journey of connecting with others from across the world through the
universal medium of singing.
Thank you for your support!

We did it! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated to this project... I'm really looking forward to the tour, and your contributions towards my travel costs have made all the difference, so I can fully focus on the artistic side of it without being worried about financial matters. I'll be sure to send an email update to donors as the tour progresses, and you can always check my facebook PepeMusician page for news too.
kia ora koutou,
NZ music on our tour...
Once again, a big thank you to those who have already donated to help fund my travel costs for the Voices NZ tour to Europe later this year.
The campaign is still going, so if you would still like to donate, please do! Every bit helps, and I will still need to cover my food expenses and make up for loss of income while I'm away... Let's see if we can get to $3500...
Also, just thought I'd add this photo of me with taonga puoro player Horomona Horo, who is coming with us on tour! This photo was taken in Dunedin several years ago, when Horo was performing with us in Ross Harris's Requiem For The Fallen. It will be great to work with him again, and to do a variety of NZ pieces in our concerts.
Wow! Thank you for your support!

Thank you so much to all who have donated - and especially to the anonymous person who contributed the necessary amount to get me to 100% of the funding goal! You rock!
Several people have asked if they can still donate after the goal is reached - and the answer is YES! I'm blown away by the support so far, and any further donations will still be most welcome, with all money going towards further tour costs, including loss of income for the time I'm away.
The initial amount will cover travel costs, which I'm very grateful for, and anything extra will mean less personal debt on my part, which I'm even more grateful for!
Me te tino mihi ki a koutou katoa, with heartfelt thanks to you all,
