Sian Torrington

I’m a visual artist and writer, and for many years I have also worked in community arts. I make colourful, expressive drawings and sculptures that are interested in the creative process, different forms of embodiment, and sensory, intuitive experience of the world. I’ve built sculptures in trees, galleries, bare land, abandoned buildings and public art institutions, as well as showing drawings large scale and small in many galleries nationally and internationally. I have an MFA from Massey University, and I work from a studio in Wellington.
