FAFSWAG Arts Collective
FAFSWAG is a visual arts incubator for queer indigenous creatives working collaboratively to activate public and digital space. Operating across a multitude of interdisciplinary art forms and genres, the collective has an extensive portfolio of public work that spans over the last 5 years.
Our Kaupapa is about privileging indigenous cultural practice through the arts and creative industries, advocating for visibility within Pacific communities as well as institutional spaces, decolonising art practice and creating safe space for LGBTQI+ people of colour. We seek to empower Talanoa (Discourse) through live events, site specific cultural experiences and arts engagements that speak to our unique and diverse contexts as LGBT peoples from Oceania .
