Kenny is a clarinet player from Auckland, New Zealand.
In 2014 he completed his Bachelor's studies at the University of Auckland under the tutelage of James Fry. In 2016 he graduated from the Australian National Academy of Music's Professional Performance Program, where he studied with David Thomas.
He was a New Zealand Symphony Orchestra Fellow, an Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra Scholar, and has participated in masterclasses with notable artists including Paul Dean, Jörg Widmann, Kari Kriikku, John Kruse, Andreas Sundén, Bjorn Nyman, Dimitri Ashkenazy, Paul Meyer and Michael Collins.
He has performed with numerous professional ensembles, including the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, the New Zealand, Melbourne and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras, and Orchestra Victoria.
His accolades include 1st prize in the Auckland Chamber Music Society Competition 2013, the Ken Wilson Clarinet Prize 2014 (University of Auckland), and 1st prize in the CLASAX Buffet Crampon Clarinet Competition 2016.
