My home town is in the central Nth Island Town of Taumarunui, however I am now residing in Hamilton. In 1999 I became involved with the organisation Puppet Vision in Tauranga where I learned the art of ventriloquism and latex sculpture under the guidance of puppeteer Dan Martin, creating unique characters for performance in schools and events throughout the Bay of Plenty, Coromandel and Waikato. Since then I completed a Diploma of Graphic Design from the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic, and a Bachelor of Media Arts from Wintec in Hamilton.
I am currently creating my own project - The Art Ambulance - which will be on this site hopefully in the near future, which endeavours to create a vehicle to place more artists and their genres in front of children in schools and to provide connections in the community through art. I will be incorporating my own passion for illustration, latex sculpture and puppetry and creating a network of artists and community organisations to share in this vision.
You can view some of my work on my Behance Portfolio, or visit The Art Ambulance page on Facebook.
