Originally from Australia, Emily has lived in New Zealand since she was a young child. Graduating in May with a BMus in Classical Performance Voice (University of Auckland). Holds Grade 7 Voice (Trinity College, London). Recipient of the Gina Sanders Trophy, the Gowan Brae Valley Studio Trophy for Ladies and the A and E Serpell Trophy Most Points Senior Vocal (South Auckland Performing Arts Competition Society). Winner of the Ronald Dellow Memorial Competition 2014. Awarded First in Class in Classical Performance Voice (2012 & 2013, University of Auckland). Recipient of a North Harbour Club AIMES Emerging Talent Award 2014. Finalist in the New Zealand Aria Competition 2014. Recently placed second in the Lieder class (2014) and previously gained first placings for NZ Art Song, Musical Theatre, Sacred Solo and Folk Song (2011-2015, North Shore Performing Arts Society). Roles include Mary Magdalene: Jesus Christ Superstar (Centrestage Theatre); Cosette (understudy): Les Miserables, Carmen: Fame and Anita: West Side Story. Recent solo engagements include There’s a Diva/Divo in my soup, A Christmas Cracker (Opera Factory) and lead soloist with the Jazz Combo in the APO’s annual Mazda Summer Matinee at Villa Maria Estate Winery. Emily sang with NZO Chapman Tripp Chorus in La traviata and Don Giovanni (2014). Understudying for Clorinda in La cenerentola and plays Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly 2015.
