Hi arts supporter!

I have just completed the manuscript for the world's first book on Guitar INtuition, which focusses more on the way to think and approach learning the guitar, rather than just showing you how to play a few chords.

The book gets the reader to have fun learning how to 'learn better', at the same time as igniting their passion for music.

I would love for you to get on board in raising the profile of guitar playing in New Zealand, as I feel strongly that we need music with passion, music that is from the heart, to be in the spotlight again.

Along with my other self funded projects (The NZ Underground Festival, and Guitars On Fire), I hope to inspire millions of musicians around the world, and have the last stages of getting the manuscript formatted and printed to go.

Polygraphia NZ have offered to work with me on these last stages and a contribution would be a great help in getting this out there, and would help me to help others

I would be more than happy to meet up for a free consultation with any contributors, and anyone can contact me without hesitation if they feel they would like to work together to help strengthen music in New Zealand.

Thanks everyone and keep doing what you love!

  • We Did it!! 100% !!!!

Well, a very big thank you to the Boosted team and all of you that have supported my project this far. We made the target! There is still 2 days to go, and you can still help. The target is not the full cost of printing (which is $2000) it is just to help with the cost, so any extra boosts are still very welcome. That will also help me with distribution costs to suppliers. It's certainly not cheap to spread the knowledge! ha ha  Thanks again, and please keep supporting by spreading the word and keeping real music out there to inspire people :)

  • The Boosted experience

Hi all, I'm at 94% and I would like to say a MASSIVE thank you for the support so far. My previous attempts at getting funding from funding bodies included being emailed back and addressed as 'Robbie', and by the other funding organization, being told that they were in a 'Dance music phase'.

This has been a humbling experience, and very touching to see a couple of my old friends who I love, contribute to the cause

This isn't just a book for me. This is a push to show that you can succeed as an independent artist, on your own terms, no matter what obstacles or 'big fish' are in your way

  • Maori Music Managers Development Initiative

Hi again everyone. I have recently joined (can be found on facebook) the Maori Music Managers Development Initiative. It may be valuable to some of you so here's a bit about it: to honour the recognition that while there are a wealth of Maori Musicians in the NZ Music Industry, there is an urgent lack of skilled Maori Music Managers to appropriately manage, support and uplift our musicians and their taonga.

3MDI's kaupapa is to create solid pathways and initiatives that can develop both existing and future Maori Music Managers, thus supporting Maori musicians and Maori music to continue to safely and effectively evolve, grow, thrive and impact on NZ and the World.

  • Music Newsletter to help you musos out there

Hi guys, thanks again for donating. I haven't had too much help over the years, and none when it comes to fundding so this is really nice to actually get a bit of support :)

My book is featuring in the next Muzic.net.nz and thought I'd mention it as muzic.net.nz is a great site that has been going since 1999 to support local music. I have used their site since the beginning and they do a great job with a newsletter too. It can be a great way to find out about cool Kiwi bands, not just the same three that we see on TV all of the time. Check it out www.muzic.net.nz and sign up for the newsletter if you like. Thanks everyone

  • Program to go with book

Hi guys and girls and thank you very much for your donations so far. I'm pleased to say I have made plans for a workshop based around my book and look forward to helping more guitarists around NZ get the support that I didnt really get over the years. I also look forward to taking the book to schools and trying to get the education system to realize that there is a big gap for personal development and the Arts. It's not all just about Rugby and what job pays the most money (although those have their place of course!). Anyway thank you and lets keep helping each other rather than suffering from Tall Poppy syndrome. That doesn't get any of us anywhere
