Australasia's #1 Trump impersonator*, Alexander Sparrow (NZ), is going to Hollywood!

Picked as a WORLD TOP 10 Trump impersonator, I will be performing in the finals at Laugh Factory, Hollywood, on 26 April 2017. The winner will host Laugh Factory's new online show, 'Fake News/Real News', and headline at all of the Laugh Factory Clubs around the USA.

This is a huge opportunity to build an international reputation for my work, and show what Kiwi comedians can do on a global stage.

I would be most grateful to any comedy fans out there who can help me get to Hollywood. Flights and accommodation have been booked, and a loan was taken out to do so. My target of $1,000 covers just over a third of my travel costs, and my dream target of $2,700 would cover both those major costs. Any contributions will make a massive difference. Thanks for your generous support, and backing a Kiwi on the international stage!

*As seen on The Wall Street Journal (US), TVNZ's Breakfast, TV3's Story, NZH Focus, Radio New Zealand, MORE FM, The Breeze, Newstalk ZB, The Dominion Post, and the New Zealand Herald.

I am also putting on my 2016 smash-hit show, 'The President', one last time to help raise funds. Entry is free, and all donations will go towards travel and accommodation costs in the USA. $5 guaranteed seats (optional) can be booked on Eventfinder.

Cavern Club, Allen Street (Wellington)

    We made the $1,000 target!

I'm blown away by everyone's generosity, especially over such a short period of time. It's a huge opportunity for progress in my career as a writer/performer, and your support will help make the trip possible. Thank you!

If you are able to share the link to this Boosted page please, I would really appreciate it. I'm not asking for any more money from donors that have already contributed - you've already helped in a huge way. This update is a last chance attempt to catch anyone who may not have seen the page yet.

$1,000 covers just over a third of the expenses of the trip, which in full amounts to $2,700. This smaller target was reachable within the time limit, and so I aimed for that. With donations at fundraising performances of 'The President' boosting the target, I'm now hoping to get as close to $2,700 as possible. (This includes performing 'The President' at Garnet Station in Auckland, Saturday 22 April, as the last fundraiser before I leave NZ.)

Thank you to everyone who has contributed; again, it's made a massive difference to funding this last minute trip. You're the best!

The second fundraiser performance of 'The Preisdent' was held last night, at Cavern Club, Wellington.

Had a great turn out for this one, and thanks go out to everyone who shared, liked, mentioned, or came to the event - especially those who donated to get me over to Hollywood.

It was a success, and raised approximately $350 (waiting on reconciliation from eventfinder for final amount). 100% of the proceeds are going towards the trip.

    Thanks again for coming out!

I performed 'The President' at Cavern Club last night (13/2/17), to a completely sold out venue - not even standing room was available. Approximately 80 people attended.

This performance was free entry with koha/donations welcome, and optional pre-sales were available on eventfinder.

With pre-bookings and koha combined, the show pulled in $610 to put towards the project. I will deposit this to the Boosted Project following reconciliation from eventfinder.

Thank you to everyone that attended!
