Moko's on a Mission. Help him get to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2016.

Your donation will support this award winning homegrown work get to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to perform a three week season at the world famous Gilded Balloon (one of the top 4 venues at the festival!)

One Day Moko has already been picked as a 'festival highlight' by The Guardian newspaper.

With the generous support of Creative New Zealand we have almost all the funds we need to make this season happen. We have happily pooled our collective pennies together and along with your support, this last push will enable us to cover the basics and make this venture a sure fire winner! A little can go a long way!

"Life's never a dull moment when you live one day at a time.

Meet Moko. Urban cowboy. Drifter. Thinker. His life fits into a single trolley. Moko wants to meet you. Come spend some time with him.

Inspired by real encounters with people living on the streets, One Day Moko investigates how rebellion, opportunity and routine shape our everyday lives. One performer builds a city from a suitcase of worldly possessions. Take a tour and discover Moko's haunts and secret places.

Wake up and smell the baked beans."

"… moving, sharp and totally believable…Simple, thought-provoking and mature, One Day Moko, is a beautiful gem of a show - don't miss it" (Vanessa Byrnes, Theatreview)

To complement this fundraising campaign we will be showing One Day Moko at Auckland's Q Theatre Loft for 3 performances only 20-22 July, 7.30pm.

Please donate to our campaign then pop onto the Q Theatre website (www.qtheatre.co.nz) and buy a ticket to the show for only $10 (plus booking fee).

We want to take Moko out to the world - and with your support we will get there!

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS SUPPORTED US THIS FAR AND THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO ARE ABOUT TO SUPPORT US, TO GO FURTHER THAN MOKO HAS EVER GONE BEFORE.

Mean!

UPDATES

  • Goodbye Aotearoa! Hello UK!

Kia ora! We've arrived in London and have less than one week to go before the Edinburgh Fringe Festival mayhem kicks off! Shaking off lingering jet lag and making sure we brought enough portable setereos (7 should be enough?!) is on our current check list before we travel up to Edinburgh this Sunday. We also got a special mention in 'Edinburgh 49' as a highlight in this year's Fringe. You can read about it here. Pretty cool huh?

Thanks for you support... not long to go now!!

  • Hey you! Check out our new video!

Kia ora Boosted supporters! We've been chipping away at creating a video to promote our up and coming season at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.  Filmed in and around Auckland City inlcuding Queen St and Symonds Street. Thanks to Matt, Declan, Tai and Guy for your hardwork, support and commitment in making this idea come to life. We think this video looks pretty darn fancy.

You can watch the fruits of our urban labour here

Thank you to those who've made contribuions to our Boosted campaign thus far. You're choice! All of you!

Far out! Thank you for your support so far, we're blown away!

We've already made our target and we've still got time up our sleeves...

As you know the funds raised so far will contribute towards some of our basics that include; printing, transport, baggage and accommodation.

Whatever money we raise beyond our 100% target will be used to cover costs such as; insurance, filming of the show, promotional material and props. Up until this point most of these areas have been self-funded by the company so every little bit extra makes a huge difference.

Still keen to donate? These funds are going towards areas that are vital to One Day Moko's presentation and success.

    Hearty!

    Chur!
