Everybody Cool Lives Here is proud to present this electrifying new play, from the minds of a team of emerging artists, three of whom were born with intellectual disabilities. These young performers were stand-outs in Wake Up Tomorrow and are pumped to get back on stage!

No Post on Sunday will charm audiences with the story of the colourful characters of a classic kiwi neighbourhood. Meet Wendy Stanley (Nick Smith), a regional reporter whose marriage to the town clown David Stanley (Duncan Armstrong) is unique, to say the least. Harry (Jacob Dombroski) a local postie by day, transforms when the stars come out into 'Fundungo' the local lothario who's dance moves rival Justin Bieber's.

No Post on Sunday is devised (collaboratively created/writen), led by Show Director Isobel MacKinnon (Best Director NZ Fringe 2015). Our team is about to head back into a month long process that will see emerge one of the most exciting theatre experiences of the year.

Everybody Cool Lives Here sees this project as the beginning of developing a profesional tour-ready show. We plan to tour nationally in 2017/18, engaging with communities to begin to change perceptions around this new generation of disabled peoples.

Last year's spectacular Wake Up Tomorrow, received six NZ Fringe Festival awards including Best in Fringe, Best Ensemble, Best Director, Best Production Design & Outstanding Actor for the 120 plays presented. Our collaboration with Active was nationally recognised at the 2015 Arts Access Aotearoa Awards winning their Community Partnership Award.

Duncan Armstrong's a human dynamo, who creatively is capable of almost anything, playing drums, acting, and performing professionally with Touch Compass Dance Trust. Throughout his life Duncan has been challenging and removing barriers for everyone behind him. With this project he's defined his obstacle as his love for melodrama and how he wants to instead focus on subtleties in delivering emotionally rich characters that capture audiences.

Auckland tried to steal the amazing talent that is Owen McCarthy, he's nice enough though to still export his work up there, most recently in the form of AV Design for The White Guitar. Owen's a man of many design talents and is relatively new to the industry, which means we're stoked to have him before he blows up.

Jacob's loving his journey of full time creation, part way through day one he was still comprehending that he was going to be coming in day-after-day for four weeks. With the last two shows we only had limited time with him, we can't wait to see his transformation and to introduce audiences to the amazing characters he's developed.
