Based in Canterbury Genre Multi Discipline

Daisy Lavea-Timo

I am a mother, wife and VERY proud Samoan. I love teaching at Cashmere High School, am a communicator, Canterbury Women's rugby league player, wanna-be rapper and lover of poetry.

I am passionate about adding depth to our Pasifika artist's community here in Canterbury.

Over the last 5 years I have performed and taught spoken word poetry at schools, youth groups and youth justice centres, organised and MC'd local Christchurch arts events and just this year, been a part of the Leadership in Communities (LinC) mentoring program.

I've spoken at national youth conventions, guest lectured at the University of Canterbury, and to various youth organisations around NZ.

I'm totes for collaboration and community.

Leadership, Social Justice, Education, Hope, Valuing people's talent, Excellence ahhh the list goes on!  Poetry and music is a tool in my hand that I will share, sharpen and shape the world with.
